You know, I have a chocolate garbanzo bean cake recipe on my blog. It was one of my first recipes, but it uses a lot more sugar than yours. Next time I want to make this, I'm going to try your version.
GASP! Is this legal??? Love, love, love!!!
Thanks Juanita :-)
garbanzo brownies, huh? That makes them healthy, right? So, you can eat these instead of a vegetable for dinner?
I may make this, this weekend. MMM
I tried them with tahini and loved them; this is such an interesting recipe, will have to try it soon, as I adore chick peas! (of course)
oh! I made this with beans, chickpeas would be just as delish! xo
I'm going to be honest with you - it sounds weird. But I'm a sucker for the weird & wonderful, so I'll probably be trying this out sooner or later. :-) Will let you know how it goes.
Oh Juanita! These brownies sound BRILLIANT! I can hardly wait to try them! What FUN!
Quick questions: Did you drain your chickpeas first? And what size is a "tin?" (Here in Seattle, WA - USA; we have two sizes 8 or 16 ounces.)
Chocolate Smiles, Lynn
Hi Lynn -
The chickpeas are drained first.
The Nett Mass is: 400g
The Drained Mass is: 240g = 8 ounces of chickpeas (minus their liquid).
Have fun! :-)
These brownies are wonderful!! I thought the recipe sounded a little weird at first (chickpeas in brownies???), but they are so tasty and so easy. I just took a pan of them out of the oven to take to work to share with my co-workers tomorrow.
